Zenaida Van Klink

Zenaida Van Klink, née Funtanilla, also known as Sandy or Zeny, passed peacefully at her home in Georgetown on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the age of 82. She was the beloved wife of Ted Van Klink for 54 years of marriage and the dear mother of Genevieve and Edward. Zenaida was the sister of the late Tomas Funtanilla (Antonia), Patria Lim (Edgardo), and the late Manuel Funtanilla (Geny). She was predeceased by her parents, Cleofé Funtanilla and Consuelo Fontanilla (Blanza).

She will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, a compassionate nurse, and a woman of deep and unwavering faith. Her generous spirit shone through many years of volunteer service at her parish and the local hospital, as well as her long-standing involvement with the Catholic Women’s League, which reflected her lifelong commitment to faith and service. Zenaida was deeply cherished by her nieces Trixie and Coreen, her nephews Noel, Apostol, Joseph, Roland, Carlo, and Clarence, and her extended family, all of whom will miss her greatly.

Her memory will be honoured with enduring respect and affection by all who knew her.
