Yvonne Taylor ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A. on Mar. 17, 2026.On March 10, 2026, after an extended illness, God called home Yvonne Taylor, 90, to be with Him forever.Yvonne grew up in Jonesborough, TN and after her marriage to Don in 1956, eventually settled in Anne Arundel County MD in 1964. They joined Glen Burnie Baptist Church where Yvonne held a number of leadership roles but none more important than teaching 5th graders for over 40 years. The children loved "Miss Yvonne" and came to see her as a grandmother figure. She also enjoyed her 40-year career as bookkeeper and treasurer at Carol's Western Wear.Yvonne loved music. She enjoyed "Pops" concerts at the symphony, hymns sung by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, but loved Johnny Mathis. She played the piano nearly all of her life and was often heard playing her own arrangements of songs, "Clair de Lune", her favorite hymn, "Great Is Thy Faithfulness", and "Misty". There was beauty in her touch.Yvonne was greatly loved by her husband of 69 years, Don, sons Chris and wife Carolann, Chuck and wife Dee, Jeff and wife Bella. Grandchildren, Katie and husband James with their children Mason and Taylor, Ian and partner Veronica, Samantha, and Maureen and husband Kyle.
