Yvonne Elaine Schlaf

Yvonne Elaine “Sue” Schlaf passed away on March 13, 2026, at the age of 85. She was the beloved wife of Richard for nearly 65 years. A devoted mother, she is survived by her children Christopher Schlaf (Tammy), Susan Schlaf, and Michael Schlaf (Terry Martin). She was the proud and loving grandmother of Michelle, Emily, Riley, and Sydney, and the great-grandmother of Robby and Nicholas. She was also the dear sister of Mike Toutant (Sue) and the late Albert Toutant (Bernadette).

Sue married the love of her life, Richard, on April 22, 1961, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Detroit. She lived a life centered on love and quiet devotion to her family, taking special pride in the lives and accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. An excellent gardener, she found great joy and satisfaction in tending her perennials.
