Yolanda Gamez-Perez

Yolanda Gamez Perez was born on September 9, 1953, in Tucson, Arizona, and passed away on March 4, 2026. A proud graduate of Sunnyside High School, she went on to earn her degree from the University of Arizona and became a dedicated bilingual teacher, inspiring countless students throughout her career.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Jose and Socorro Gamez, and her brother, Gilbert Gamez. Yolanda is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, Jose Perez, and her cherished children, Angelica Gamez, Jose-Angel Gamez, and Liliana Gamez-Perez. She also leaves behind her beloved siblings, Gloria, Margie, Joe, and Carlos Gamez, as well as her treasured grandchildren, Gabriel and Veneice Noperi, Savannah Gamez-Perez, and Anavay Cano, and her great-granddaughter, Athena Noperi.

Yolanda cherished taking trips with her children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be held dear by all who knew her. Her spirit and love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
