Xmalyn J. Cummings

December 25, 1955 March 5, 2026

Keyser, WV

Xmalyn J. Cummings, of Keyser, West Virginia, died on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at UPMC Western Maryland in Cumberland, Maryland. Born on December 25, 1955, in Hector’s River, Portland, Jamaica, she was the third of eight children born to Hazel (Shaw) Campbell and the late Lloyd Campbell. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and her brother, Maurice Campbell.

Xmalyn moved with her family to New York City in 1967 and later settled in West Virginia in the 1980s. There she devoted much of her life to preaching and teaching others about the promises found in the Bible. Sharing the love of her heavenly Father, Jehovah God, brought her the greatest joy. She drew particular comfort from the hope expressed at John 5:28-29 and Psalm 37:29, and that same hope has brought strength to her family and friends.

She was a warm and vibrant woman who enjoyed cooking, baking, and entertaining family and friends. She loved dancing, singing, and good company, taking special pleasure in the music of Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra, though nothing delighted her more than singing Kingdom Melodies and original songs.

Xmalyn is survived by her mother, Hazel Campbell; her sisters, Darwin Tracy, Michele Hall, and Ada Patterson; her brothers, Audley Campbell, Sr., Nyles Campbell, and Sean Campbell; and a host of fourteen nieces and nephews and eighteen grandnieces and nephews.
