Wyatt Dickey ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory - Huntsville on Mar. 10, 2026.Wyatt Lee Dickey 17 of Huntsville went to his heavenly home on Friday, March 6, 2026.Wyatt was born August 8, 2008, to Terry and Gina Dickey in Fayetteville, AR.Wyatt was a junior at Huntsville High School. He excelled at academics and was proud to serve as Captain for the Huntsville High School Quiz Bowl Team. He had aspirations of attending West Point. He was a devoted member of Huntsville's Key Club and Eagle Media. Wyatt was a member of the City of Huntsville's Youth Council where he was revered by his peers as a leader for the inaugural group. He was also an avid outdoorsman.Wyatt found the most joy when he was fly fishing during fishing trips with his dad, Terry, or hiking with his mom, Gina. He was proud to be Claire's big brother, and he enjoyed their car rides home from school jamming out; something she cherished deeply. He loved hunting and camping. He was an avid rock and knife collector, and spent time wood burning, flint knapping and tying flies. When he was younger Wyatt loved baseball; a game he started playing at 4 years old.He loved music and more than anything else spending time with his friends and family.Wyatt was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Peggy Wyrick and Grandfather Leslie Wyrick. Great-grandparents, Don Dickey and Ann Dickey, and two Uncles Russ Wyrick and Davey Wyrick.Left to cherish his memory are his parents Terry and Gina Dickey and his sister Claire Dickey, of the home. His grandparents Danny and Margaret Dickey; of Rogers, AR. His uncles and aunts Jeff and Carrie Dickey, of Exeter, MO; Mitch and Linda Wyrick of Huntsville; Corky and Carla Wyrick of Canyon Lake, CA; his cousins Elizabeth Dickey, Jaimie Dickey, Raelyn Wyrick, Jamie Wyrick, Erik Wyrick and Scott Eden; his cat, Lighting or Thunder- we're not sure- and a host of friends.The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Brashears Funeral Home.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026, at the A.T. & Georgia Mae Smith Activity Center with Alex Foster officiating. Pallbearers will be Jared Henry, Curtis Reinhardt, Jeremy Ruttan, Claire Dickey, Jeff Dickey, and Corky Wyrick. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitch Wyrick and Jason Ruttan.Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
