Born February 4, 1945, in Cheraw, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Willie and Esther Williams McIver.Affectionately known as Mac, Sr., he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, partner, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Coakley McIver, and his children, Winston Dowd McIver, Jr. (Angela), and Hana McIver Sands (Anthony, Sr.) He took great pride in his family, especially his grandchildren, Anthony B. Sands, Jr., Lunden Amaya McIver, Laila Aleah McIver, Adrienne H. Sands, Logan Abrya McIver, and Andrew E. Sands.Donations can be sent to South Carolina State University Foundation in memory of Winston D.
