Winslow Richard "Rick" Newbert Jr.

Winslow "Rick" Richard Newbert Jr., 57, of Orneville, passed away on February 17, 2026. Born on April 18, 1968, Rick was a kind, loving, and supportive father to his daughters Kristy Stillings, Desiree Newbert, and Miranda Newbert. He cherished his grandchildren Alexandria Newbert, Katrina Badger, Darren Badger, Kenneth, and Gavin, as well as his girlfriend April York and her grandchildren.

Rick found joy in music, spending time outdoors, drawing, and caring for animals. He particularly loved the summer and fall seasons. Known for his willingness to help others, he took great pride in living as an honest and kind-hearted man. Those who knew him will remember his gentle spirit and the warmth he brought to his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Newbert of LaGrange; his daughters Kristy, Desiree, and Miranda; his brother David Newbert and wife Connie of Medway, along with their children, niece Brittney Newbert, and nephew David Newbert Jr.; his sister Shanann Newbert (Cooper) of Hartland; and his aunts Eska, Rena, and Heidi, as well as cousins Cindy, Eddie Bubar, Clayton "Dude" Bubar, and Richard "Buck" Bubar.

Rick was predeceased by his mother, Sharon Juanita Newbert (McKenzie) of Brownville; his father, Winslow Richard Newbert Sr. of Orneville; and his uncle Eddie Bubar and aunt MaryAnne Bubar of Orneville. His memory and life will be forever cherished by all who loved him.
