Wilson Wallace ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Elmhurst Community Funeral Home - The Ahlgrim Chapel on Mar. 17, 2026.Wilson Dawson Wallace Jr., age 73, passed away comfortably on March 15, 2026.Born in 1952 in Evanston, IL to the late Wilson Dawson Wallace Sr. and the late Charna Wallace (nee de Moran)Beloved father of William Wallace and James (Alicia) Wallace; loving brother of Anne Keay Wallace (Stuart Churchill); dear friend to many.Dawson grew up in Glenview, IL and Palos Verdes, CA. After attending the University of Denver, he worked in banking. During his career, he attended the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. After moving back to Illinois, he spent his time involved in non-profit work, mentoring Boy Scouts and working on numerous camp staffs to impact the next generation of leaders.He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity, was an avid and competitive marksman, a train enthusiast and collector, and a soccer fan.A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 from 3-6 p.m. at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst, IL 60126 with remembrances beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at a later date in Marion, IL.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association https://www.alz.org/.Arrangements in care of Ahlgrim Funeral Home.
