Wilma Jean Bridges

Wilma Jean Bridges, age 90, of Terrell, Texas, passed away on March 7, 2026. She was born on May 20, 1935, in Telephone, Texas, to Wilma Mae and Newt Issac Philpot.

Wilma spent her long life building a close and enduring family that now spans multiple generations. She was a source of comfort, wisdom, and strength to those who knew her, loving deeply and caring fiercely for everyone around her. Family was the center of her world, and she remained a steady presence through every season of life.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Bridges; son, Garry Bridges; grandsons Justin McBride and wife Melony, Jared Bridges and wife Shaila, Jonathan Bridges, Jathen Bridges and wife Alicia, and granddaughter Kristie Todd with Brian Rust. She also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; son, Terry Bridges; daughters-in-law Karen Bridges and Nancy Bridges; and grandson, Derrick Bridges.
