Wilma Ann Marshall Parker, age 88, passed away peacefully, on February 27, 2026. Leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, creativity, and devotion to her family and community.

Wilma was born on April 11, 1937, in Wilmington, Ohio, to Virginia Marshall and William P. Marshall. She grew up alongside her brother, William Marshall, and graduated from Wilmington High School in May of 1955.

On August 27, 1955, Wilma married the love of her life, Joseph A. Parker, in Liberty, Indiana. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service to others.

Wilma had a lifelong love for learning and creativity. She continued her education by taking several art courses as well as a business administration course at New Mexico State University. She especially enjoyed painting and drawing, spending many happy hours expressing her creativity and sharing her artistic talents with those around her.

Faith was a central part of Wilma’s life. She attended services at Bethel 2nd Baptist Church and later Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as a children’s Sunday School teacher. She found great joy in helping guide and encourage young hearts in their faith.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia Marshall and William P. Marshall; her brother, William Marshall; and her beloved daughter, Christi Parker.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Joseph A. Parker and her children, Ginger Parker, Joel Parker, and Brandon Hendrix, along with her 2 grand children and 7 great grand children and 5 great-great grand children many family members and friends who were blessed by her kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit.

Wilma’s life was a testament to compassion, creativity, and unwavering faith. She will be remembered for her loving heart, her artistic spirit, and the many lives she touched through her family, her church, and her community.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her
