Willis Steve Scribner, age 67, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Maury Memorial Gardens with Pastor Walter Braden officiating. A lie-in-state will take place on Thursday, March 19, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, which is assisting the family with arrangements.

Willis was born on April 29, 1958, in Columbia, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Ira James “Bill” Scribner and the late Dorothy Jean Martin. Willis proudly served his country in the United States Army. He attended Potter House Baptist Church until his health began to decline.

Willis had many passions in life. He was a proud member of the Godfather Motorcycle Club and was well known for his work as a DJ, performing under the name DJ Remy Martin. He also enjoyed working on cars and was known as a talented mechanic who could fix almost anything. Above all, Willis was someone who loved helping others. He had a generous spirit, and those who knew him loved him dearly and will miss him greatly.

He is survived by his son, Steven Lamont Scribner; his daughter, Latasha Scribner; his brother, Anthony (Shaun) Martin; and his sister, Michelle (Ernest) Walker. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Jakendris Scribner, Jy’Aysia Scribner, Za’Carriah Cooper, Ja’Kiya Cooper, and Steven Lamont Scribner, Jr.; his great-granddaughter, Tarynn Scribner; his nephews, Anthony Quinn Martin, Julius Armstrong, and Deus Duke; and nieces, Destinei Martin, Neah Foster, and Miaya Martin.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
