With every stitch and every dish she prepared, she wrapped her family in love. Though she has gone from our sight, the beautiful memories she created will forever live in our hearts.On Tuesday March 03, 2026; God in His infinite wisdom, called daughter Ms. Willie Mae Barnwell Grant, 79, of Woodbridge, Virginia formerly from Charleston, South Carolina from labor to reward.Celebration of Life for Ms. Grant will be on Thursday March 12, 2026 at 11 AM, Bibleway Baptist Church. There will be a viewing from 10-11 AM on Thursday March 12, 2026There will be NO viewing on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.Interment will be in the Live Oak Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Charleston, South CarolinaMs. Grant leaves to cherish her loving memory her three devoted daughters: Celeste Nelson (Patrick) of Las Vegas, NV; Sonya Grant of Woodbridge, VA; and Cakesha Hardin (Freddie) of Woodbridge, VA; six beloved grandchildren: Alexandria Nelson, Sydney Nelson, Gabriella "Brie" Sanders, Patrick "PJ" Nelson, Jr., Jonathan "Tre" Hamilton III, and Camryn Hardin, and blessed with three great-grandchildren: Zamier Hamilton, Chase Spicer, and Cairo Jamison, who is expected in July.In addition, she leaves behind two beloved siblings, Gwendolyn Yates (Tony) and Henry Graham Jr. She is also lovingly remembered by four nieces, one nephew, and a host of cherished relatives and dear friends. Among them is her faithful first cousin, Izetta Seabrook (Francis), who held a special place in her heart.She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel B. Grant, and her parents, William Barnwell and Elder Rachel Waring Graham.On behalf of this bereaved family, we humbly solicit all prayers of consolation and Comfort as they transition through this difficult time.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
