Willie Lynwood Gibbs

Willie Lynwood Gibbs of Danville, Virginia, passed away on March 14, 2026 at the age of 89. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey Lee Gibbs and Annie Gibbs Taylor, and his brothers, Edward Gibbs, Johnny Gibbs, and Thomas Gibbs.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Guill Gibbs; his son, Alex Gibbs and his wife Amanda of Danville; and his brother, Clarence Junior Gibbs and his wife Linda of Martinsville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Throughout his life, Willie remained a steady and loving presence in the lives of his family. Those who knew him will remember the quiet strength and devotion he showed to his wife of many years and to his son, carrying forward the bonds of family that meant so much to him.
