Willie Hutchins ObituaryObituary published on Legacy.com by Heritage Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Panama City on Mar. 17, 2026.In Loving Memory of Willie Lee HutchinsSeptember 14, 1944 – March 13, 2026Willie Lee Hutchins, age 81, of Southport, Florida, passed peacefully from this life on March 13, 2026.Born on September 14, 1944, Willie lived a full and meaningful life marked by generosity, faith, strength, and the simple beauty of country living in Bay County. She was a woman who made a lasting impression on all who knew her. She loved deeply, gave freely, and carried a quiet strength that made others feel safe, welcomed, and cared for.Willie was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Rayford Sapp and Flora Lee Sapp; her brother, Johnny Ray Sapp; her son, David Hutchins; and her daughter, Brenda Lee Cox.She is survived by her loving daughter, Candy Lynn Wilson; her sister, Sharon Viola Odom; her brother, Billy Ray Sapp; and her grandson, Joshua Michael Roger Wilson, along with many extended family members, dear friends, and countless young people whose lives she touched as a motherly figure and guiding presence.Willie was known for her outstanding generosity and her remarkable gift of making people feel like family. To many young people over the years, she became more than a friend-she became a surrogate mother, and they lovingly called her "Mom." That speaks volumes about the kind of woman she was.She found joy in the peaceful rhythms of life in Bay County and was especially gifted as a master seamstress, a skill she carried with pride, patience, and creativity. Her hands were rarely idle, and her life was woven together with the same care and beauty she gave to her craft.Above all, Willie adored her family and was devoted to her Lord and Savior. Her faith was not merely something she professed-it was something she lived. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, kindness, and quiet faithfulness. As one beautiful saying reminds us:"A life that touches others goes on forever."And truly, Willie's life was well lived because she loved deeply, gave generously, and left goodness behind her."Give her the product of her hands, And let her works praise her in the gates."- Proverbs 31:31 (NASB 1995)She will be greatly missed, fondly remembered, and forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
