Amsterdam, NY

William “Bill” Zajaczkowski, 72, passed away on March 13, 2026. A proud graduate of the Amsterdam High School Class of 1972, he served the Amsterdam Public Works Department for thirty years. Bill was a proud grandfather to Myrhia, Connor, Anthony, Aubree, Noah, and Avery, and a great-grandfather to Adrian. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda (Michael) Casatelli and Patty (Robert) Zajaczkowski, as well as his lifelong friends Ed (Loraine) Dybas and Vinnie (Patty) Martone, whose enduring companionship meant a great deal to him.

Bill was predeceased by his son, Anthony (Dana) Zajaczkowski; his father, Michael “Mitch” Zajaczkowski; and his mother, Joanne Miles.
