He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Childs. William is survived by his children: sons William Joseph Childs and Thomas Scott Childs, daughter Katherine Lynn Childs, and his cherished grandchildren Vivien, Charlie, Peyton, Reese, Landon, William, Walter, and Christopher.
A service will be held on March 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM CST with Reverend Stuart West officiating.
