William Stephen Chudyk

William Stephen Chudyk passed away on March 5, 2026 at the age of 79 after a long illness. Born on March 21, 1946 in Orlando, Florida, he grew up in a military family that moved frequently. A Vietnam veteran, Bill later worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a postal machine maintenance instructor in Norman, Oklahoma.

He found quiet joy in collecting stamps, playing bridge, reading, watching Turner Classic movies, enjoying good food, and listening to classical music. Preceded in death by his father, Stephen A. Chudyk, his mother, Helene Chudyk, and his sister, Patricia Paschall Peterson, Bill is survived by his brother, Stephen M. (Eva) Chudyk, his sister, Martha (Frank) Buchiere, his nieces, Jennifer (Mike) Ortolaza, Ellen Chudyk, and Anna (Robbie) Dainard, his great-nieces, Elizabeth Ortolaza, Maria Ortolaza, Savannah Dainard, Corina Dainard, and Chloe Dainard, and many dear friends at Rivermont Independent Living Community and throughout the Norman community.

Bill will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
