William Stacey “Bill” Yarbrough passed away on March 10, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on September 28, 1934, in Belden, Mississippi, to Mildred Rail Parker and Henry Quay Yarbrough, Bill graduated from Tupelo High School in 1952. He went on to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Itawamba Community College and the University of Mississippi. He devoted much of his professional life to North Mississippi Medical Center, where he served as business manager. A proud Navy veteran, he served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard and the USS Telfair.

A man of deep faith, Bill was a longtime member of First Baptist Church Tupelo and Belden Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School for many years. He was a charter member of the Tupelo Exchange Club and a past president of the Tupelo Lions Club. In retirement, he found joy in volunteering with the North Mississippi Medical Center Auxiliary. He also cherished world travel and building his collection of antiques, particularly Civil War relics.

Bill is survived by his children, William Andrew Yarbrough (Peggy) of Waynesboro, Tennessee, Martin Landers “Buck” Yarbrough (Gena) of Saltillo, Terri Regina Stanford (John) of Ripley, and Kimberley Hope Hardy (Jeff) of Branson, Missouri; his grandchildren, Andrew Yarbrough, Austin Yarbrough, Elizabeth Yarbrough, Houston Yarbrough, Chelsea Wildmon, Stephen Stanford, Taylor Stanford, Adam Stanford, Joshua Hardy, and Jacob Hardy; his brother, David Yarbrough (Pam); and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Yarbrough; his parents, Mildred and Quay Yarbrough; and his brother, Douglas Yarbrough.
