William Schartner

The memory of William Schartner of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, who passed away on March 6, 2026 at the age of 84, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Schartner and Evelyn Schartner (Stoffel); his sisters, Anna Mae Smith (Ralph) and Elizabeth "Betsy" Schopf (Harold); his parents-in-law, Louis and Florence Lautenbach (Tipler); and his great grandchild Ellie Lynn.

He is survived by: his wife Leanne Lautenbach; his children, Scott Schartner, Mike Schartner, Kelly Kudlik (Dave), Quinn Schartner (Marisa) and Lynlee Hehli (Pete); his grandchildren, Shae and Brynn; his children, Kaylee, Josh, Paige, Anikah, Caden, Eva, Marissa, Karley, Carson, Faye, Logan and Griffin; his great grandchildren, Kaysen and Theo; and his sister-in-law Lisa Jacobs (David). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Forbes Funeral Home (319 W Spruce St, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235). A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
