William S. Pivacek

William S. Pivacek, 85, of Nahant, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, at Salem Hospital, surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy illness.

Born on November 17, 1940, in Schenectady, New York, William served in the United States Army at a young age. He attended Northeastern University, where he married the love of his life, Linda. The couple settled in Nahant, and William began his career as an engineer with W.R. Grace. He and Linda later moved to Maryland with their son, Jason, where William worked for Sinclair and Valentine Company in Baltimore. The family eventually returned to Nahant, and he continued his engineering career with Tripp Company before becoming an antique dealer.

William had a deep love for the outdoors and spent many happy years hunting, camping, hiking, skiing, fishing, and canoeing with his wife, son, and close friends. He also had a passion for motorsports, competing in events and enjoying foreign sports cars as a member of the Sports Car Club of America. An appreciative listener, he found great pleasure in classical and jazz music.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, and his loving son, Jason, as well as several nieces and nephews. William was predeceased by his parents and his three siblings, John Louis Pivacek, Theresa (Pivacek) Furlong, and Beata Pivacek.
