He was predeceased by: his father William Frederick; his grandparents, Arthur and Laura McPherson; his daughter Nicole Elaine Dodd; and his niece Kristen Miller.

He is survived by: his mother Nancy Jean Rountree (McPherson); his sons, William Rountree and Gary Rountree; his sister Karrie Miller (Rountree); his nieces, Melissa, Jackie, Caitlin and Rebecca; his aunt Reta Leinaar; and his uncle Rudy McPherson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Girrbach Funeral Home (328 S Broadway St, Hastings, MI 49058). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
