Floyd, AR

William EuDell Orvis, 56, of Floyd, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Born on July 17, 1969, in Searcy, Arkansas, to Cora Dell Orvis and William Eugene Orvis, he graduated from Beebe High School in 1988 and lived his entire life in Arkansas.

After high school, Dell joined the military and served a combined 22 years in the National Guard and Army Reserves, retiring with the rank of Sergeant First Class. In 2006, he founded Orvis Fence Company and remained self-employed until his passing. His true passion, however, was farming and ranching. Known for his gentle way with animals and people alike, he remained deeply involved in his community, serving on the Floyd ball park board, managing the New Floyd Cemetery, and participating in countless local activities. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, reading, sitting around a fire with friends, and helping others. Above all, he cherished attending Sunday dinners with his family.

Dell is survived by his sons, Joshua Wayne Manley and William Alexander Orvis; his daughter, Amelia Grace Orvis; his parents, Cora Dell Orvis and William Eugene Orvis; his brothers, Preston Wayne Orvis and Darrell Lynn Orvis; and many beloved cousins.
