William Michael Hrynkiw

William Michael Hrynkiw, 69, of Fraser, Michigan, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Thursday, March 5, 2026. He was born in Ontario, Canada, to Nicholas and Stella Hrynkiw.

Bill shared 30 joyful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Joyce Tazzia. Together they built a life filled with laughter, family, and many cherished memories.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Stella Hrynkiw; his brother, Robert Hrynkiw; and his grandson, Brandon Shoup.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Joyce, and his stepchildren: Rachel Mayes-Davis (Stan), Christopher Mayes (Fenar), Anna Mayes, and Gary Mayes. He was a proud and loving grandfather who deeply cherished time spent with his grandchildren; Christopher Mayes, Jr., Brandon Shoup, Samantha Shoup, Skylar Mayes, Inez Mayes, and Emma Mayes.

Bill had many passions that brought him joy throughout his life. He loved trucks and enjoyed following his favorite sports teams, including the Green Bay Packers, Detroit Tigers, the Montreal Canadiens, and NASCAR racing. Whether watching a game, talking about cars and trucks, or spending time with family, Bill appreciated the simple moments that made life meaningful.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, and the love he shared with those around him. Bill will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
