Mark was born on January 9, 1964, in Corning to Joanne Paciorek Woodruff. He was a lifetime resident of Corning and a graduate of the Corning Painted Post Special Education Program after attending various ARC special programs.Mark participated in Special Olympics for many years and was a past member of Boy Scout Troop 99. He was an outstanding athlete and enjoyed playing golf, football, baseball, bowling, and was a devoted sports fan. He was also an avid photographer and took hundreds of photos. Mark spent many summers at Camp Whitman on Seneca Lake and he enjoyed fishing and swimming with the Jensen group on Keuka Lake. When not swimming and fishing, he was expanding his hat and tee shirt collection which ranged in the hundreds. Mark also had the "Magic Card," allowing frequent shopping trips to Tommy Hilfiger.Mark took volunteering seriously, helping at the Corning Library for many years, delivering for Meals on Wheels with his group, and helping Mary, his aide, with her church projects.Mark is survived by his mother, Joanne Woodruff of Corning; sister, Susan Woodruff of Big Flats, NY; brother, Christopher M. Woodruff (Tammy) of Corning; niece, Briana Houck and family of Elmira, NY; aunt, Susanne Ihrig and family of Saginaw, MI; uncle, Wayne Bennett and family; friend and aide for 20 years, Mary Learner; numerous friends at Pathways, Inc., and the nurses and staff of CareFirst. He was predeceased by his loving grandparents William and Waneta Woodruff and Joseph and Bobbi Paciorek who took an active and caring role in his life.There will be no public services held at this time.
