William Lee "Butch" Pollard

William "Butch" Lee Pollard, a longtime Miami resident, passed away on March 10, 2026, at Freeman Health System in Joplin, surrounded by his loving family. He was seventy-four years old.

Born on February 27, 1952, in Superior, Arizona, to Jr. Elzie Lee Pollard and Vesta Ruth (Richison) Springer, Butch graduated from John Marshall High School in Oklahoma City in 1970. On July 21, 1979, he married the love of his life, Debra Ann Hankins. He worked for many years as a buyer for Jasper Products before retiring. Butch cherished time with his family, especially after he and Debbie welcomed their grandchildren. A lifelong history buff, he enjoyed visiting museums, and in retirement he found quiet pleasure feeding and watching the animals that visited his yard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jr. Elzie Pollard and Ray and Vesta Springer.

Butch is survived by his wife, Debra Pollard of the home; his children, Natalie Moore and her husband Justin of Claremore, Oklahoma, Stacy Alvarez and her husband Sal of San Jose, California, and Cassie Jones and her husband Scott of Cumberland, Maine; his sisters, Shauna McDaniel and her husband Randy of Jones, Oklahoma, and Becky Ortiz and Rusty of Lakeside, Arizona; his grandchildren, Camden Moore, Hudson Moore, Sophia Alvarez, Shaelyn Alvarez, Siena Alvarez, Paige Jones, Landon Jones, and Brooke Jones; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
