William P. Lage (Bill), 66, Grovetown, GA, died Saturday, March 7, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born July 18, 1959, in Sioux City, Iowa, he has lived in Grovetown, GA, since 1988. On June 14, 1986, he married Teresa Gordon, who survives him. He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes. Known for his incredible strength and quiet determination, many would say he was the strongest man in the world—not just physically, but in the way he supported and cared for those around him.After many years of dedicated work, he retired from DSM Chemicals. He was also a proud member of The Single Action Shooting Society (SASS), where he built lasting friendships.He had a true gift for woodworking and a remarkable ability to fix or build just about anything. Whether working with his hands in the shop or tackling a mechanical challenge, he took pride in doing things the right way and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed help.In his free time, he enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and was a devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the University of Kansas. One of his greatest joys was watching his son and grandchildren play baseball, moments he cherished deeply. He also enjoyed many memorable motorcycle rides and sharing those experiences with friends.Above all else, his greatest pride and joy were his children and grandchildren. They were the center of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He also cherished the companionship of his beloved dog, Lucy, who was always close by.He will be remembered for his quiet strength, generosity, and deep love for his family. His legacy lives on through those who knew and loved him.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Pitts; his parents, Dudley Albert and Betty Jean (Engbrigtson) Lage; and his sister, Catherine Kafer. Additional survivors include two children, William Patrick Lage Jr. (BJ), Augusta, Ga; Stephanie Williams, and her husband, Brian Williams, Dearing, Ga; four grandchildren, Jacob Hannum, Graham Williams, Corbin Willams and Liam Pitts; one sister, Connie Diehl, and her husband, Jim, Shawnee, Kan.; brother, Tom Lage, and his wife, Marcia, Kansas City, Mo.; brother in law, Kerry Kafer, Orlando, Fl; and numerous nieces, and nephews.The Faamily will recive friends for a time of visitation on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Thomas L. King Funeral Home.
