William Joseph Stockert

William "Bill" Joseph Stockert, age 78 of Farmington, New Mexico, passed away on Tuesday February 24, 2026. Bill was born on January 25, 1948, in Saint Vincent's Hospital Staten Island, New York to William Jospeh Stockert and Eva Biskoroway.

He enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 17 where he served as a radio operator in the USS Caliente, Bill was awarded 3 decorations the National Defense Service, Vietnam Service Metal with 3 bronze starts, and the Vietnam Campaign metal with device. He married Rhonda Smith in 1974 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They had a son David, and a daughter Rachel who have all lived in Farmington, NM since 1991. Bill has 2 grandchildren, Destiny Stockert and Teagan Briggs.

He was preceded in death by his father William Joseph Stocker.

Surviving are his wife Rhonda of 51 years. Son David (Heather- Denker) Stockert. Daughter Rachel Stockert. Bill's mother Eva Canney. Grandchildren: Destiny (Lester Herrera) Stockert, Teagan Briggs.

Brothers; Michael Stockert and Jimmy Stockert. Sister Rina Stockert.

Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
