William "Joey" Joseph Driver

William “Joey” Joseph Driver, 64, of Verbena, Alabama, passed away on March 13, 2026, at his residence.

Born on April 2, 1961, in Alabama, Joey was the son of the late Edwin Lamar Driver and the late Patti Jean Driver. A welder by trade, he found his greatest joy in his family, especially his grandchildren, and in cheering for his beloved Alabama Crimson Tide football team.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Lee Driver; his son, Joseph Craig (Joy) Driver; his daughters, Brandy Nicole (Ty) Byrd and Elizabeth Hope (Jacob) Chapman; his brother, Wayne (Jayhala) Driver; his brother-in-law, Jimmie Davis; grandsons Bryan Byrd, Liam Chapman, and Jayden Driver; and granddaughters Charlee Byrd, Cari Byrd, and Kylee Chapman.

Joey was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Lamar Driver and Patti Jean Driver; his brother, Carl “Junior” Thomas, Jr.; and his sister, Vicki Jean Davis.
