William John Howells, age 63, of Wilmot, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, March 13, 2026.
Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on January 13, 1963, Bill was the son of the late Thomas David and Lillian Baker Howells. He graduated from Jules E. Mastbaum High School in Philadelphia with the class of 1980. He began his career with Fleet Management in Philadelphia and later moved to Wilmot, where he worked for PennDOT in Towanda until his recent retirement.
Bill found great joy in hunting, fishing, tending to his mowers and tractors, and caring for his land. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends. A devoted brother, he was known for his steadfast loyalty and will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Cindy Dunlap; stepchildren Zeth and Davina Dunlap of Mehoopany, Katherine Kinsley of Lopez, Randy Dunlap of Meshoppen, and Devin L. Dunlap of Blountville, Tennessee; step-grandchildren Devin R. Dunlap serving in the United States Marines, Zeva Dunlap of Mehoopany, Aaron Kinsley serving in the United States Army, and Kyle Kinsley of Lopez; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom and Oe Sun Howells of Green Bay, Virginia, Dave and Linda Howells of Abington, Pennsylvania, and Ernie and Tina Howells of Brick, New Jersey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
