They later moved to Oklahoma in May of 1972., where they made their home together. He worked as the Porum Police Chief in Porum for over 20 years. He then went to work for Warner Police Department where he retired in the late 1990's.He loved to fish, do wood work, mow his lawn and take care of his plants and flowers. He enjoyed telling stories, and scrolling Facebook.He also enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially loved his grandkids and great grandkids.He is Survived by: One son: Jimmy Spafford Jr & wife Alice of Porum; 2 daughters: Kelly Bivens & husband Ritchie of Muskogee, Tammy Spafford of Porum; bonus daughter - Christia Spafford of Muskogee.Grandchildren: Mandy Smith & husband Jason, Alisha Holder & husband Wes, Jacob Girty & wifeCourtney, Rachel Ledbetter & husband Rocky, James Spafford III & wife Melody, Sequoyah Girty & wife Diana, Holly Chavez & husband Salvador, Deborah Jones, Josiah SpaffordGreat Grandchildren: Jaelyn & Jentry Smith, Wylie Holder, Mayleigh Girty, Ava & Austin Ledbetter, Brooklyn & Bostyn Girty, Rowdy & Jozalyn Chavez, Keaton & HaylieOne sister: Jeannie Reynoso and husband Cheppy of North Fork, Ca.; Brother in Law; Hershel Weeks of Philomath, Oregon.He's Proceeded by his Parents; Percy and Opal Spafford.
