He was predeceased by: his parents, James Madden and Laura M. Madden (Mays); and his sister Marian Madden King. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn May Madden (Perine); and his children, Mariam Robins (Jesse) of Maryland, William J. Madden, Jr. of California, Wanda M. Taylor of Texas, Ronald Rex Madden of Florida and Richard Wayne Madden of Maryland. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 13th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park (17636 W Washington St, Hagerstown, MD 21740).
