William J. Higgins, Sr.

William J. Higgins, Sr., known affectionately as Bill, passed away unexpectedly on March 10, 2026, at the age of 73.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Patricia Higgins (nee Canzanese), and their three children: William J. Higgins Jr. (Amy), Patty Santos (Alex), and Dennis Higgins (Marissa). Bill is also survived by his sisters, Drucilla DiSandro (Vincent), Mary O’Hagan (Kevin), and Theresa Spadea (John); his mother, Mary (nee Welsh) Higgins; and his eight cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Sara, AJ, Caroline, Billy, Carina, Denny, and Gianna, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William Higgins.

A 1970 graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School, Bill met his beloved wife Pat there. He was a devoted family man who cherished time with his loved ones. He was an avid Phillies fan and supporter of Cardinal Dougherty basketball, and he enjoyed spending his free time at the flea market. After a long career as a store manager with Goodyear, he continued working as a delivery driver for Tire Hub. Bill had a gift for making friends everywhere he went and brought laughter and happiness to those around him.
