William J. Fischer

William J. Fischer, a longtime resident of Marmora, New Jersey, and former resident of Audubon, New Jersey, passed away on March 9, 2026 at the age of 83.

Born in Southwest Philadelphia to William John Fischer and Mary Agnes Fischer (née Brown), Bill graduated from West Catholic High School in 1961. He served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1970. For more than thirty years he worked as a salesman for Sears & Roebuck before joining his family’s business, Fairmount Beverage Distributors. A true do-it-yourselfer, he took pride in performing odd jobs around the house. He found great joy in fishing, crabbing, and clamming, especially at his beloved Beesley's Point Beach. His happiest moments were spent in the kitchen, cooking for friends while enjoying a Coors Light.

Bill is survived by his former wife, Diane Fischer; his daughter, Karen Cutts (David); his sons, Brian (Alene) and Jeffrey; and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert, Bernard, David, Joseph, and Peter, and his sisters, Marietta Glancey, Louise Perez, Dorothy Khella, and Anna Costa.

A private cremation was held in accordance with his wishes, and a private family service will take place to honor his life.
