William H. Johnson

William H. Johnson, 87, of Lafayette, Alabama, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026.

A devoted husband and family man, Mr. Johnson was cherished by his loving wife, Rosie Johnson, who cared for him until the very end. He is survived by his children, William C. (Karen) Johnson, Gloria Johnson, Sylvia Johnson, and Terrell Johnson; his goddaughter, Mikaela (Snow) Dozier; his special nephew, Willie (Annie) Evans; and his special nieces, Beverly Tucker and Hattie (Bobby) Bridges. He also held a special place in his heart for the many children he cared for over the years, including Devin and Nia Higgins, Ronnie Jr. and Whitney Billingsley, Josh Dowdell, Maya Whitlow, and Shakera Stiggers. He leaves behind a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will carry his memory with deep affection.

Mr. Johnson’s life touched many through his quiet strength, generosity, and the steady presence he offered to those around him. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
