Leesburg, FL
William Gleason, age 60, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on March 5, 2026, with his wife of 23 years, Lisa Gleason, by his side.
Born in Ocean, New Jersey, Bill built a life rooted in dedication, compassion, and service. For more than 40 years he thrived in the automotive industry as a Vehicle Account Specialist, most recently with Jenkins Honda. Known for his integrity, warmth, and deep product knowledge, he treated every customer like family. His acceptance into the Pinnacle Society recognized his excellence and reinforced his belief in building community and bringing out the best in others.
Beyond his professional life, Bill was a steadfast friend who showed up for those around him. His greatest purpose emerged through his family and his passionate advocacy for children and families affected by rare diseases. When his son Vincent James was born with Tyrosinemia Type I (HT-1), Bill became a tireless champion for the special needs community. He served as former Vice President of the Network of Tyrosinemia Advocates (NOTA) and worked relentlessly to improve access to life-saving medication for families in Jordan, Egypt, and many other countries. He gave his time, energy, and heart fully to these causes, always available to anyone who reached out.
Bill lived by the principles of family first, leading with love, and believing in oneself. He cherished classic rock, the Giants, cars, golf, football, time at the gun range with his son, and his wife’s cooking. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lisa Gleason; his beloved son, Vincent James; his sister-in-law Vicki Lynn of Petaluma; sister-in-law Chris Mary and her husband Bob of Paradise; nephew Devin James Ambron of Austin, Texas; nephew Sam; sister-in-law Ann Marie of Rohnert Park; niece Emalyn; loving relatives in North Carolina and New Jersey; and Patrick Gleason and family of Howell. Even in death, he continued to help others through the gift of organ donation.
His legacy is one of generosity, fierce love for his family, and unwavering support for those in need. The lives he touched and the hope he inspired will endure.
