William "Bill" Franklin Roberts

William "Bill" Franklin Roberts

Racine, WI

William “Bill” Franklin Roberts, age 48, of Racine, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born on August 1, 1977, in Racine, Wisconsin, to Franklin Donald Roberts and Rose Marie Roberts (Poritz), Bill graduated from Case High School and spent more than thirty years as a forklift operator at Putzmeister in Racine. He was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and the steady reliability he brought to his job.

Bill was a man of remarkable strength, resilience, and generosity. Those who knew him often remarked that he would give the shirt off his back, even if it was the only one he had. Charismatic and warm, he brought energy and light to every room. Above all, he cherished his family. He was deeply devoted to his daughters and grandchildren, spending every moment he could with them. To his loved ones and community, he was affectionately known as “Superman”—a protector and someone who could always be counted on. A loyal San Francisco 49ers fan, he rarely missed a game and loved sharing his passion for football with friends and family.

He is survived by his daughters, Marah Rae Zigas (Roberts), Abigail Rose Roberts, and Ava Gracie Roberts; his former wife and best friend, Amanda Lang; his grandchildren, Olivia Julie Zigas and Jack Franklin Zigas; his siblings, Rick (Mary) Roberts and Rebecca Roberts; and many nieces and nephews, Clairissa Rodriguez, Corey Jurkewitz, Tracey Brett, Karen, Brandon, Tim, Beckianne, Amari, Ted, Nicole, Lola, Kelly, Martina, Jacob, Riley, Justin, Michael, TJ, Toteonia, and Donald Roberts. He also shared a special and close bond with Marlene and Donald Steinke.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin Donald Roberts and Rose Marie Roberts; his sisters, Teri Roberts and Michelle Martin; and his nephew, Christopher Roberts. He will be remembered for his strength, his generosity, his profound love for his family, and the lasting impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
