Born on June 18, 2011, in Cumming, Georgia, Will brought immeasurable joy, laughter, and love to everyone who knew him. Though his time here was far too short, the light he shared will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and community forever.Will was an 8th grader at Pinckneyville Middle School, where he was known for his curiosity, bright smile, and kind heart. He loved learning and was especially passionate about robotics, proudly participating in the school's Robotics Club. Will enjoyed figuring out how things worked and loved the challenge of building and creating alongside his teammates.Will faced life with remarkable strength and determination. As a participant in wheelchair sports with the Gwinnett Heat, he demonstrated resilience, courage, and an inspiring competitive spirit. His determination and positive attitude encouraged everyone around him.Outside of school and sports, Will loved spending time with family and friends. He especially cherished time with his brother, Spencer, whether they were playing video games, board games, or simply laughing together. Will had a playful sense of humor and a joyful spirit that made ordinary moments special. He loved animals, enjoyed being with friends, and had a way of making people feel welcome and valued.Will was deeply loved by his parents, Ryan and Mary Purdy, who were endlessly proud of the young man he was becoming. He was a devoted and loving brother to Spencer; treasured great-grandson to Owen Cox; loving grandson to Richard and Terry Purdy, Deborah Hobbs, Randall and Cindy Spencer. He was also dearly loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members who will forever hold his memory close.A faithful member of Peachtree Corners Baptist Church, Will's life reflected the love and kindness he learned through his faith. His gentle heart, joyful spirit, and compassion for others left a lasting impression on everyone he met.Family and friends are invited to celebrate Will's life and the joy he brought to so many. Celebration of Life services for Will will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Hackett and Dr. David Shaw officiating. The family will gather with friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be held privately at Peachtree Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Will's honor to the Aflac Cancer Center or the Make-A-Wish Foundation, organizations that reflect the hope and joy Will shared with the world.As Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing Will is now free, whole, and at peace.
