William Edward Moore

William Edward Moore, 74, of Bellaire, Ohio, passed away on March 9, 2026, at WVU Medicine, Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, West Virginia. Born on May 30, 1951, in Bellaire, he was the son of the late Robert and Anna Mae Moore.

William spent his career as a welder at the former Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, where his skill, commitment, and strong work ethic earned the respect of his colleagues. He also served his country honorably as a veteran of the United States Air Force.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, William Edward Moore II, and siblings Betty Beckett and Robert Moore II.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Kittel Moore of Bellaire; daughters Sondra T. Mehl (James Kindberg) of Bellaire, Ohio, and Cantina “Candy” Jeffers of Tiltonsville, Ohio; grandchildren Breann (Keith) Brown of Shadyside, Ohio, Brandon Allen Delili of Bellaire, Ohio, Emilee Josephine Mehl of Bellaire, Ohio, and Daniele Erica Mehl of Bellaire, Ohio; great-granddaughter Evelynn Brown; brother Michael Marshall; sister Marilyn (Richard) Kolenich; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
