William "Bill" Edgington

William “Bill” Edgington, age 77, of Hamersville, Ohio, passed away on March 11, 2026, surrounded by his family at his home.

Born on August 17, 1948, in Mowrystown, Ohio, Bill was the son of the late Vernon Edgington and Velma Agnes Lewis Edgington. A proud U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, he graduated from Whiteoak High School with the Class of 1966. He remained deeply connected to his community as a longtime member of the Mowrystown American Legion and the Sardinia VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Edgington, whom he married on November 5, 2005; his son, Bud (Myra) Edgington; his daughter, Tiffany Hinkle; his stepsons, Ed (Stella) Smith and Garrett (Amy) Kenneda; eight grandchildren, Miranda, London, Emma, Sydney, Willow, Spencer, Xaxier, and Piper; two great-grandchildren, Paisley and Savannah; his sister, Vickie Hetzell; and special friends Joe Wagner, Kip Young, Dan DeClair, and Jeff Harvey. He was preceded in death by his sister, Pricilla Jane Johnson.

Bill will be remembered for his quiet strength, his devotion to family, and the steadfast friendships he cherished throughout his life.
