William E. “Bill” Cooper, 95, of Derry, New Hampshire, passed away on March 8, 2026, at the Inn at Deerfield in Deerfield, New Hampshire. Born in Derry on May 5, 1930, he was the son of the late Frank and Margaret (Sullivan) Cooper and remained a lifelong resident of the town.
Bill spent most of his working life in construction, operating heavy equipment, building highways, and excavating on job sites across New Hampshire. Passionate and outspoken, he was known for standing up for those who needed a voice and for generously helping others in need. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Mark Cooper and his wife Kim of Candia, New Hampshire; five grandchildren, Michael, Tina, Connor, Rachel, and Angela; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty Jane (Huckins) Cooper in 2009, his son Billy Cooper in 1994, and by four brothers and five sisters.
