William Donald Hickman, Jr., age 79, of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, died at his home on March 11, 2026. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, on September 12, 1946, to the late William Donald Hickman, Sr. and Anna Mae Tillett Hickman, he served his country honorably in the United States Navy before devoting 46 years to a career in construction.
He is survived by his sisters, Rita Fields of Virginia, Vilma Foster and her husband Steven of West Virginia, and Anna Marie Erdman and her husband Dennis of Virginia, as well as his brothers, Jerome Hickman of North Carolina and Raymond Hickman of West Virginia. He was predeceased by his parents.
A service will be held at a later date in Elizabeth, West Virginia.
