David was born May 16, 1959, in Bardstown to the late Joseph Lydian, Sr. and Mary Jane Motley. He was a retired letter carrier for the post office. David enjoyed fishing, hunting and listening to music. He was a United States Navy Veteran and a member of Bardstown 1st Baptist Church.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Pulliam, and two brothers, Donald Jenkins and Michael Motley.He is survived by three daughters, Danon Jenkins of Pittsburg California, Ailene Jenkins of Louisville, Allison Elliott of Indiana, three sons, Dameon Smith of California, David Jenkins of Bardstown, Daniel Jenkins of Idaho, five sisters, Evelyn Motley, Jacqueline Street, both of Louisville, Rebecca Moon of New Mexico, Emily Tatum, Mary Ann Spears, both of Texas, six brothers, Ernest Jenkins, Rydale Jenkins, Joseph Lydian, Jr., Michael Lydian, David Lydian, all of Bardstown, Robert Lydian of Georgia, his step-mother, Mary Emma Lydian of Bardstown, six grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral services for Mr. William David Eugene Jenkins will be 11:00am, Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Bardstown 1st Baptist Church, Bro. David Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Bardstown Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday March 13, 2026, from 5:00pm- 8:00pm at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home. Additional Visitation will take place Saturday after 10:00am at the church.
