William D. Douglass, Sr., 83, of Lansdale, passed away on March 11, 2026 at Jefferson Lansdale Hospital.

Born on May 7, 1942 in Oreland, Pennsylvania, to the late Walter D. and Madeline (Huffner) Douglass, Sr., Bill served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He remained deeply committed to veterans’ causes throughout his life, becoming a life member of American Legion Post 234 in Souderton and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 32 in Lansdale. He was also a member of the Honorary Society of the American Legion 40-8 and Trinity Lutheran Church of Lansdale.

From the age of 12, Bill was an active member of the Boy Scouts of America, earning the rank of Eagle Scout and the Order of the Arrow. He later served as Scouting Chairman for the 9th District of the American Legion, continuing to support the organization that had shaped him.

He is survived by his wife, Holly Lynn (Bregler) Douglass; his sons, David Douglass and Andrew J. Douglass; his step-daughter, Maria D. Sine; his brothers, Karl (Kelly) Douglass and Robert Douglass; and his sisters, Lynn E. Pribis and Patsy Douglass.
