Columbus, OH

William “Bill” Franklin Cluff, aged 78, passed away on March 13, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. A devoted son, he was preceded in death by his loving parents, John and Dorothy Cluff. Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Jeannie; his son, Ralph; his daughter, Marji (John) Fair; his sister, Sharon (Willie) Waller; his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, including Shawn (Larry) Ritter, Willie (Dawn) Waller, Hannah (Trevor) Gardner, Jonathan Ritter, Brianna (Reed) Ashcraft, and Jackson Waller. He is also survived by his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Tammy and Mike Middleton, as well as lifelong friends who were like family: Dan and Mary, Tony and Teri, Dave and Sandy, RJ and Nancy, Dev and Dan, Cindy, Patty, and Jim and Sally.

Bill served his country in the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969. He attended Franklin University, majoring in Business, and retired from Nicholas Bakery after 30 years of service. A longtime volunteer for veterans, he enjoyed playing poker and, above all, spending time with family and friends. To his grandchildren he was a wonderful Papa, especially to little Abby, who knew him as a loyal and loving companion.

Bill leaves a legacy of laughter and love. True to his favorite saying, “I will do the comedy,” he brought humor and light to everyone around him and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
