William Clarence Griffith

William Clarence “Bill” Griffith, age 85, of Plainfield, passed away on March 9, 2026 at his residence. Born on April 9, 1940 in Acton, Indiana, to the late William W. and Vera Mae Evans Griffith, Bill graduated from Franklin Central High School and served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1964. On April 9, 1960, he married Audrey Geisking, who survives him. He worked for 25 years as a machine operator at Allison’s Transmission in Speedway before retiring.

Bill was a devoted husband, father, and brother who lived a quiet and steady life marked by loyalty and hard work. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Griffith; his son, Ron Griffith; and his sister, Judy Meyer (Alviey). He was preceded in death by his son, Tony Griffith, and his brother, Dick Griffith.
