"Bill" Blaney, age 77, of Uniontown, PA, passed away February 24, 2026 in Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born March 20, 1948 in Uniontown, PA, son of the late John D. Blaney, Sr. and Dorothy B. Gillung Blaney. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his nephew, John "Jeb" Blaney, III.Bill was a 1966 graduate of Uniontown High School. He received a degree in Agricultural Business from Penn State University and his graduate degree in the School of Business, EMBA from Pitt University. Along with his two brothers, Bill ran the trucking operation Blaney Farms, Inc. for over forty years. He was a member of the Pleasant View Presbyterian Church where he served as a past elder. Bill's motto was "I want to be useful".Bill was a dedicated member of the Uniontown Rotary Club, a Paul Harris Fellow, and an Outstanding Fellow 2009 at Penn State Fayette. He was a former member of the advisory board at Penn State Fayette, Fay-Penn Industrial Development Corp, and Chestnut Ridge Counseling Service. He also served as Adjunct Professor at Penn State Fayette and Laurel Business Institute.Bill was able to give a lasting final gift by being a tissue donor.Left to cherish Bill's memory are his brothers, James M. Blaney (Marian) of Uniontown and John D. Blaney, Jr. (Hazel) of Perryopolis; step children, Timothy Kaylor of Uniontown and Dr. Leah Kaylor and many nieces, nephews and cousins.Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 14th at Pleasant View Presbyterian Church from 10 until 11 a.m. followed by a memorial service celebrating Bill's life at 11:00 AM with Rev. Laura Blank officiating.
