William Arthur Desautels, Sr

William Arthur Desautels, Sr., 87, of Westminster, passed away peacefully at the Gardens of Gettysburg Nursing Home. Born on June 3, 1938, in Maryland, he was the son of the late Theodore Desautels and Marian Desautels, née LaBounty.

He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. Desautels, née Cavin, and the loving father of Bill Desautels, Mike Desautels and his wife Patty, Kenny Desautels and his wife Stephanie, and Michele Wivell. A cherished grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 18, he was the last of his five siblings.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three sons, John, Chip, and Dana.

Mr. Desautels was a longtime member of Local 1 and worked as a Drywall Mechanic. He attended Poly Technical High and Baltimore Community College. In his spare time, he enjoyed participating in Sporting Clays in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and Steeltown, Pennsylvania.
