William "Bill" Arnold

May 27, 1956 March 12, 2026

Leesville, LA

William "Bill" Arnold, 69, of Leesville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026. Born on May 27, 1956, in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, Bill lived a life shaped by deep devotion to his family, his craft, and his faith.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for four years, where he completed specialized training to work on submarines. That experience fostered in him a lasting sense of discipline and precision that defined his long career as an Electronics Technician with Valiant Integrated Services. A gifted musician, Bill found great joy in playing the bass guitar, especially during worship services at church, where his quiet strength and rhythmic talent helped create meaningful moments of spiritual connection for the congregation. He also embraced life with an adventurous spirit, finding freedom and clarity on the open road as a passionate motorcycle enthusiast.

Above all, Bill cherished his family. He was a devoted husband to Marsha Arnold and a loving father to James (and his wife Sarah) Arnold, Chaz (and his wife Brittani) Hagan, and Tara Hagan. He took immense pride in his role as grandfather to Shannon Risinger, Anneliese Arnold, Jadyn Slaney, Waylon Pollock, Keygan Hagan, Noah Pollock, and Harleigh Hagan. He is also survived by his brother Ron (and his wife Joy), bonus siblings Cody (and his wife Rachel) Burns and James (and his wife Lawanda) Cole, his father- and mother-in-law Jerry and Adrian Smart, brothers-in-law Darrell (and his wife Angie) Woofter, Bradley Smart, and Eric Fryer, and many extended family members who will carry him in their hearts.

Bill was predeceased by his parents Milford H. Arnold and Anneliese Auguste Peters Arnold, his brother Milford H. Arnold Jr. (and his wife Sandra), his sister Sandra Arnold Fryer, and Susan Brando, his first wife. He will be remembered for his gentle kindness, unwavering devotion to those he loved, and the courage with which he pursued his passions.
