William "Bill" Ambers Sanders

March 24, 1936 March 6, 2026

Cary, NC

William "Bill" Ambers Sanders was born on March 24, 1936, in Hemingway, South Carolina, and passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, in Cary, North Carolina, at the age of 89. A dedicated and hardworking man, Bill built a long and successful career in construction and insulation. He taught Sunday School at First Baptist Church of Morrisville for more than thirty years, finding deep community and purpose in his faith.

Bill cherished the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He took special joy in patiently teaching each of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren how to fish. His enthusiasm for auto racing was matched only by his devotion to church activities, where he found both excitement and solace.

Above all, family was the center of Bill’s world. He delighted in spoiling his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, creating countless cherished memories with them. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anna Lee Cribb Sanders; his father, William Clarence Sanders; his brother, David Alton Sanders; and his sisters, Kaye Eaddy, Kitty Cribb, and Elaine Cribb.

Bill is survived by his brother Kenneth Sanders (Ann), sister Carol Rogers, brother Cecil Sanders, Randy Eaddy (Carol), daughters Debbie Perry (David) and Shelby Brigman, grandchildren Teresa Farmer (David), Josh Norris, Sarah Schuyler (Steve), Andy Perry (Leah), Amber Tanner (BJ), and Ashley Whaley, great-grandchildren Charity Storey (Sam), Brianna Benson, Paul Benson, Gavin Schuyler, Lilly Perry, Alaina Herron, Annabelle Reagan, Josiah Reagan, Joshua Reagan, Landon Dozier, Tashawn Norris, and Jordyn Norris, and great-great-grandchildren Stella Storey, Kingston, and Arieon, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. He will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for those closest to him.
